Ooh! Do bring the sequined fish tank on your upcoming journey. (I saw someone wearing it in another color on Memorial Day and was quite envious.)

I lived in Kensington the first year (too touristy and I hated the flat) and then Maida Vale, which I loved. Lots of nice mansion blocks (where I had a flat) but also those white Georgian buildings. Some of them have lovely private gardens too.

But it's been a long time since I was there. I think all those lofts are new. They definitely looked nice in the movie!

So my husband is going there this weekend to scout out the apartment. Number one requirement - air conditioning. Number two - large closets! Have you seen "Matchpoint"? I'm shooting for the building where their loft was - across the river from the Parliament. Where did you live in London?

Ooh, London -- fabulous! I have to say when I lived there I had to get a two bedroom flat so that I'd have room for all my clothes! The small second bedroom made for a fantastic walk-in closet. (Beware, old flats have very bad closets -- some have none at all!) But New York isn't much better. I'm constantly dropping things off to Goodwill to make room for new stuff. I have two closets, a wardrobe and two dressers and even that is barely enough!

All right, I gotta ask - where do you keep this stuff? I'm moving to London in a few weeks, from a huge 3-bedroom condo with large closets to a 2-bedroom whatever, and I'm agonizing along the lines of what to keep and what to dump. I don't really want to get rid of any of my stuff, so what gives?

I got to go on Family & Friends day the afternoon before it opened...you should have seen it. As much as you made out like a bandit, I have to say I did even better (worse?) with the one-of-a-kinds for $25.
