The Call of the Fall

There’s no sudden crispness in the air, or foliage changing colors, or kids returning to school, or even new episodes of Lost. Even without those harbingers of autumn, I’ve hit the moment when I just cannot help myself: I need to start shopping for fall. And I mean now!

One of the first things on my list is a cape. This Derek Lam “cape jacket” is pretty great if you’re not fully committed to the Little Red Riding Hood look.

Wouldn’t it look amazing with these Valentino boots? They are to die for. And die I just might, if I actually shelled out $1390 for them. Ooooh, tempting!

And after a few seasons in the wilderness of style, I think Prada may just be back in the handbag department. I love this military green tote.

Okay, maybe I can’t wear boots or a cape yet, so the least I can do is buy myself one thing that I can wear now-ish. I think this Missoni dress just may be perfect for summer-into-fall dressing.

      those boots are simply stunning.

For a less expensiev version, try the Seychelles Main Squeeze boot! I have them and I simply love them. They have a knot instead of a bow, and it is not as large as the one pictured here…but still, for the money you save they are definitely worth it.

I had to laugh when Iread about the cape. I have a children’s Shop and online boutique and one of my best sellers has been a cape by Room Seven and it is cute and little red riding hoodish. check it out.
