The Runaway Bride

Thank you to Superqueen and DaisyGirl for your posts wondering where I’ve been… Heck, even the shoes on this post are unfilled! Well, dear readers, I do apologize for the unscheduled hiatus. With the wedding just a few weeks away (!) I haven’t had too much time to work on my fall wardrobe, much less write about it (these shoes — thank you Saks gift card promotion! — notwithstanding). I can, however, offer plenty of discourse on the pros and cons of an amuse-bouche at the beginning of dinner, or seating assignment etiquette, or the appropriate ribbon for a program… but I will spare you the details! See you when the honeymoon’s over! :-)

As a comment on your last post…yesterday morning (11/4) I spotted a young woman sporting the Norma Desmond Turban here in the Silverlake nabe in LA. Clearly a fashion statement and not a medical necessity, it was actually sort of cute in a “beyond snood” sort of way. Ten years older and she would have been frump city.

      Good luck with your wedding!
